Special scrap
Components from electronics count as special scrap. Aurum can only accept gold chips already separated from circuit boards or gold-plated conductor tracks or contact plugs.
If the average gold content is about 0.3%, then the minimum delivered weight must be about 300 kg. Should the gold content be higher, the delivered weight may be correspondingly smaller.
Catalytic Converters
Aurum Edelmetalle does not reprocess individual cores from catalytic converters. Reprocessing is worth your while if the following conditions are met:
1. Minimum delivered weight 1000kg
2. Only ceramic cores already separated are accepted.
3. The catalytic converters may only come from motor vehicles which were built before 2000 because in many cases valueless magnesium compounds were used afterwards.
4. Reprocessing time takes ca. 14-15 weeks.
